Despite the snowy weather outside, Earlscliffe student – Deborah Temowo was cooking up a fiery storm in the kitchen as she cooked and served a selection of traditional Nigerian dishes to our on-site students. With Jollof Rice. Jerk chicken, fried yam sticks and beef stew all on the menu, the students and staff couldn’t help but feel warmed up. Deborah was supported by two of our other Nigerian students and Chef Sam in the kitchen.
Earlscliffe encourage all of our students to share their traditions and culture throughout the year and preparation for University includes teaching students how to cook, wash and iron their own clothes, create routines, manage money and look after their own mental health in preparation for life after Earlscliffe. We’re delighted that our students are so proactive in this though and very happy that they share their food with us.
Well Done to Deborah and all of her sous-chefs.
